Gery Bierhoff was born in
the Netherlands. He came to Australia as a
young man, and was involved in
agriculture in Queensland,
specialising in irrigation cropping in the
Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs.
After marrying Monica,
they became involved in the cotton industry
and managed several cotton properties in the
Downs and Gwydir districts.
In 1986, they bought the
Moree franchise from W A Flick & Co, after
training in Pest Control in Dubbo, in 1996
adding the Goondiwindi franchise.
In 2001, they went
independent and started trading as Bierhoff
Pest control, still servicing the same
areas, covering the towns and districts of
Moree, Narrabri, Wee Waa, Burren Junction,
Collarenebri, Mungindi, Goondiwindi,
Talwood, North Star and Gravesend.
Besides being fully
qualified in pest control, Gery Bierhoff is
also a licensed fumigator, fumigating on
farm storages, and bunkers, also does export
fumigation of raw cotton, cotton seed and
other grain products in containers using
both phosphine and methyl bromide.
Pest Control Moree
In 1989, Gery and Monica
qualified at the the Tamworth TAFE for the
pest control certificate, in 1993 received
with credit a pass in the AEPMA "Specialist
Termite and Timber Technology Course".
In 2002 Gery completed a
course in termite inspection, monitoring and
eradication using the Intrigue termite
powder, and in 2003 he was appointed
authorised Exterra installer using
Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting
System.
